We like to make our sites stand out from the crowd, but most importantly we make sure they achieve results!

Often we don’t shout about our work as we are busy working on the next big project, so we thought we’d take this opportunity to give you a snapshot of Synergy Learning’s work in our latest blog. We are proud of our work and are in no doubt that these six examples will help you understand why…

Motorsport Association

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) is the sole national governing body for four-wheel motor sport in the UK. Based on key requirements, we recommended a Totara LMS implementation to be the most cost-effective solution.

The robust reporting architecture within the platform coupled with the flexible learning features would meet key requirements and offer opportunities to scale in the future should the MSA require this.

The project has been extremely successful, with over 4000 subscribers to the Totara site. To date, almost 5000 (and counting) fully accredited Rally and Cross Country marshals since inception of the Totara site.

Save the Children

Save the Children are focussed on building highly effective and capable people who accelerate change for children. Working in 120 countries; saving children’s lives, fighting for their rights, and helping them fulfil their potential.They needed a platform that could be global in reach, meeting diverse requirements and configurations for each region whilst staying within their budget. Synergy Learning was chosen as Save the Children’s partner of choice with the goal of Increasing uptake from more countries, leading to having over 8200 user accounts on the site.

Save The Children are able to manage their face to face and blended programmes on the LMS unlike their previous system where they could only manage their online courses.

Improved reporting which now provides user and course administrators with a complete picture of usage, progress and achievements across all regions, all in one convenient, easy to access location.

Toyota – Lexus

Not only is Toyota/Lexus a world leader in the advancement and development of automobile technology, they provide exceptional training schemes for school leavers, and trainees. Working in such a fast paced industry, Toyota/Lexus felt they needed to invest in a flexible elearning platform that would enable them to extend the platform as and when is required to ensure their apprentices receive the very best, relevant and enjoyable training possible. As well as this, they needed a system that could deliver timely, sophisticated reporting to help them measure the impact, learning and development has on their business. For these reasons they chose Synergy Learning.

Our aim was to create a supported, engaging and attractive training platform for our client’s apprentices, to enable them to offer the best information, advice and guidance – not only in English but in Spanish also. It was agreed that Totara LMS would be the best platform for the job.

Digital Marketing institute

The Digital Marketing Institute was founded in 2008 to tackle the growing digital skills shortage and help people to upskill, retrain and kickstart their digital marketing career. Today the Digital Marketing Institute is the global certification standard in Digital

Marketing education having certified over 8,000 people across four continents.

Our aim was to create a multi-device, online platform that gave users quick access to their course material through an engaging interface. With the use of our ‘Rework’ theme package plus a course layout design, we delivered a unique Moodle theme design and responsive layout.

Flight Pro

The Brazilian Aviation industry needed to create an identity, a brand and most importantly of all, an eLearning platform that could provide sophisticated training for their pilots. With hugely demanding, flight schedules, time is precious in this industry meaning there were specific requirements that this platform had to deliver for our client; distance learning, on demand access to training, the ability to deliver engaging & interactive content. A further key requirement was the workflow of the program. Each module access had to be dependent upon the completion of the previous module. Our client needed an eLearning company to not only assist them with these pre-defined requirements but also to provide a range of services including; hosting, branding, design and training. Moodle and Synergy Learning together was the obvious solution.

This was a fantastic and extremely prestigious project to be a part of, it was broad and far reaching. We worked on:

Queen Mary University London

Queen Mary University of London is one of the UK’s leading research-focused higher education institutions. With around 17,840 students, 4,000 staff they are one of the biggest University of London colleges.

Our aim was to develop a theme that was both engaging and easy to use. We developed a set of custom icons to be used to as identifiers to show students how they could use the Mahara platform, for example, ‘Promote Yourself’, ‘Collate Evidence’ and ‘Support Groupwork’. A refreshable homepage banner housed quick links to these areas.

Our Work

“We asked Synergy Learning to work with us on the relaunch of our Mahara site. Our key goal was to use a new design of the site to assist in educating students and staff on ‘what the software is actually here for’ – thus increasing usage of the e-portfolio and group and social networking capabilities. The team at Synergy worked closely with us to understand our requirements and have delivered a fresh appealing design that both informs and entices the user to discover the hidden potential of Mahara. This approach is already helping us reach new audiences here at Queen Mary University of London.”
